I consider myself a portrait artist first and foremost, although I have worked with other subject matter (see "MORE WORK" and "CURRENT WORK" tabs).  I really enjoy doing commissioned portraits, especially pet portraits, combining my two loves - art and animals.

 

I work primarily in pastel and acrylic and occasionally dabble in oil.  For my portrait work,

I generally use photographs, digital images or a composite of images (as needed).
